The road Matrons it is the most panoramic path of the itineraries of the National Park of the Vesuvius.The road was built by brothers Matrone of Boscotrecase that “instead of enjoying in peace the income of the grape and the apricots” they wanted to race a run that around the years 1920-’30 from Boscotrecase reached the tallest part of the Volcano. The run climbs on a series of curves from where the unmistakable outline of the Volcano is admired. The vast pine-wood and the perfumed brooms are the prevalent vegetation this line of path. Left the comfortable part of the path it is begun the most suggestive line: the sight spaces on the valley of the Sarno, on the reserves forest “Alto Tirone” on the lava mouths of the 1906, on crest of the Somma, then a stupendous panorama on the gulf of Sorrento and on the gulf of Naples.
